Federal financial and direct assistance to individuals and households affected by a presidentially declared disaster, covering necessary expenses and serious needs not met by insurance. Assistance can include temporary housing, home repairs, and other disaster-caused expenses such as vehicle replacement and medical costs.

Who it's for

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, non-citizen national or qualified alien, pass identity verification, have unmet needs after insurance and other assistance, and show expenses directly caused by a declared disaster.
