St. Tammany Man Booked on Multiple Child Sex Crime Charges

A 31-year-old St. Tammany Parish man has been booked into jail on multiple serious charges involving a child victim, according to jail records.

Christopher Newman was booked March 17, 2026. Listed charges include first degree rape involving a victim under 13 years of age, crime against nature, and pornography involving juveniles.

Records show a listed bond of $750,000 cash property surety on the first degree rape charge. Additional bond amounts were not listed in the screenshot provided.

As with all criminal cases, charges are accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
