COAST is the designated Council on Aging and Area Agency on Aging for St. Tammany Parish. It provides congregate and home-delivered meals, homemaker assistance, legal aid, nutrition counseling, caregiver support, health and wellness programs, and transportation through STAR Transit. Activity centers operate in Bush, Covington, Folsom, Lacombe, Pearl River, Madisonville, Mandeville and Slidell.

Who it's for

Age 60 and older. Home-delivered meals require the person to be homebound, unable to prepare meals, and without other means of getting meals. Services are provided at no cost to eligible participants, though donations are accepted.
