SUN Bucks (Summer EBT)

Food Assistance

Provides $120 per eligible child in summer grocery benefits on an EBT card when school is out. Most eligible children are enrolled automatically. Benefits must be used within 122 days of issuance. Administered by the Louisiana Department of Health.

Who it's for

School-age children who received SNAP, FITAP, KCSP or income-based Medicaid, or who are individually approved for free or reduced-price school meals. Families whose child attends a Community Eligibility Provision school (which includes St. Tammany Parish public schools) may need to apply; the application deadline is August 20 each summer at louisiana.summerebtapp.com.
