A 19-year-old Slidell man was arrested October 17 on 32 counts involving child sexual abuse material, including seven counts involving children younger than 13, according to the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office.
Authorities identified him as Jacob Michael Haynes, of Admiral Nelson Drive. The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office located Haynes and booked him into the parish jail on an outstanding arrest warrant.
Investigators with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation began examining several tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Agents allege Haynes was the account holder associated with the reported accounts containing child sexual abuse material.
The warrant listed seven counts involving material depicting children younger than 13 and 25 additional counts involving child sexual abuse material. Those counts do not establish the number of children depicted.
The investigation involved the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office and Kenner Police Department.
The attorney general’s office said bond information was unavailable when it issued the announcement. The investigation remains ongoing.
Haynes is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
