Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)

CCAP, administered by the Louisiana Department of Education, helps eligible families pay for child care so parents and guardians can work, attend school or participate in job training. It covers licensed child care centers, family child care providers, in-home providers and school-based early learning programs. Applications are submitted through the CAFE portal or on paper.

Who it's for
Child under 13 (or under 18 with a disability) who is a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen living in Louisiana; parent or guardian working at least 20 hours a week, in school full time, in training, seeking work, in a transitional living program or experiencing homelessness; household income under program limits; and the family must be responsible for child care costs.
