Disability Services

FPHSA is the local governing entity for developmental disability services in St. Tammany and surrounding parishes, acting as the entry point for Louisiana's Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities system. Services include individual and family support such as personal care attendants, in-home respite and companion care, the Flexible Family Fund stipend for families of children under 18 with severe disabilities, crisis diversion and referral, vocational assistance, and access to the Children's Choice, New Opportunities, Residential Options and Supports waivers.

Who it's for

Residents of Livingston, St. Helena, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington parishes with a developmental disability. An in-person entry appointment is required, and documentation such as school records, evaluations and medical assessments must be provided.
