The parish emergency management office coordinating preparedness, response and recovery for disasters. It runs the STAT (St. Tammany Alert Telecommunications) notification system for hurricanes, floods, boil water advisories and road closures, opens self-serve sandbag distribution sites during weather events, posts river gauge and shelter information, and activates the parish Emergency Operations Center.
