Employment Assistance

The local public workforce agency and American Job Center for St. Tammany Parish, operating under the First Planning District Workforce Development Board and funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. Provides resume and interview help, career counseling, job search assistance, career coaching with funding for training, and support services. Programs include youth services for ages 16-24 with paid work experience, Back to Work 50+, priority service for veterans and spouses, and services for people with disabilities and people re-entering the workforce.

Who it's for

Open to job seekers in St. Tammany, St. Bernard and Plaquemines parishes. Some training funds and programs have WIOA eligibility requirements.
