Ralph Bordelon Jr., the suspect in the Slidell hit and run involving two people, was ordered to obtain alcohol monitoring before release after a judge set his bond at $60,000.
Court minutes obtained by The Rabbit Hole show Bordelon appeared remotely before Commissioner James G. Burke III on October 14 for a hearing to determine bond and legal representation.
The minutes list two counts of hit and run driving with conditions, along with DWI, improper lane use and first degree vehicular negligent injuring.
The court required Bordelon to obtain a SCRAM alcohol monitoring device before release. Additional conditions prohibit alcohol consumption and driving without a valid driver’s license.
Bond was set at $60,000, payable through cash, property or surety. The court also appointed the Office of Indigent Defender to represent him.
The document does not establish whether Bordelon has since posted bond or been released.
Bordelon is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
