The district says the changes are meant to reduce ride times for students in fast-growing areas.
St. Tammany Parish Public Schools announced updated bus routes this week ahead of the new semester, citing continued residential growth in the parish’s northern and eastern zones.
District officials say the changes are designed to reduce average ride times and better balance bus capacity across schools.
“Our goal is always to get kids to school safely and as efficiently as possible,” said district transportation director Alan Pichon.
Parents can check updated routes and pickup times through the district’s online portal, which was updated this week.
