Covington Man Booked On Child Sexual Abuse Materials Charge

A 66-year-old Covington man was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on Tuesday following an arrest by the Covington Police Department.

According to jail records, David Dansereau, 66, was booked on June 9, 2026, on a charge listed as Child Sexual Abuse Materials. The booking was entered under the Covington Police Department, and as of the time of booking, bond had not been set and was listed as “To Be Set By Judge.”

Jail records show Dansereau remains in custody pending further court proceedings.

At this stage, authorities have not publicly released additional details regarding the investigation, including the circumstances leading to the arrest, the nature of the allegations, or whether additional charges could be forthcoming.
