Woman Fighting For Her Life After Horrific Interstate Crash, Family Asks Community For Prayers
A woman is reportedly fighting for her life following a terrifying crash witnessed by a family traveling from Mississippi to Slidell Saturday afternoon.
According to eyewitnesses at the scene, a vehicle traveling northbound toward Mississippi crossed the neutral ground and continued into the southbound lanes heading toward Slidell.
Witnesses said the vehicle immediately in front of them was struck by the oncoming car and spun around. The other vehicle then struck it again before leaving the interstate and crashing into the woods.
The vehicle that was struck was carrying a family of five, including three very young children.
Witnesses said the woman whose vehicle crashed into the woods had to be airlifted to the hospital.
Later Saturday night, an update from a member of the woman’s family indicated that she had suffered devastating injuries and required several blood transfusions. According to the family member, doctors were struggling to control the bleeding and her condition was extremely serious.
The woman’s family is asking the community to keep her in their prayers as they wait for updates.
Witnesses described the crash as terrifying, particularly with young children involved.
