Slidell Man Facing New Child Porn, Animal Abuse Charges While Free on $250K Bond

A 21 year old Slidell man is facing new charges after authorities say he was arrested while already free on a $250,000 bond from a previous case involving similar allegations.

The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested Gage Ticker on August 26 after authorities received a tip that a Snapchat user had allegedly uploaded a video containing child sexual abuse material.

According to the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, investigators identified Ticker as the user. Authorities say further investigation uncovered videos allegedly produced and shared by the same user involving the sexual abuse of animals. Investigators then executed a search warrant at Ticker’s Slidell residence, where he was arrested.

Ticker was charged with one count of possession of child sexual abuse material involving a child under the age of 13 and two counts of sexual abuse of an animal.

Authorities say this is not Ticker’s first arrest involving similar allegations. In 2024, he was arrested on charges that included molestation of a juvenile, sexual battery, pornography involving juveniles and sexual abuse of an animal.

At the time of Wednesday’s arrest, Ticker was out of jail on those previous charges after posting a $250,000 bond, according to the Attorney General’s Office.

Ticker has since been booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail. As of the latest information released, bond had not been set on the new charges.

The new charges are allegations. Ticker is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
