NOPD Seeks Public’s Help Identifying Person of Interest in Attempted Homicide Investigation

The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a person of interest connected to an attempted homicide by cutting that occurred in the city’s Second District.

According to NOPD, the incident happened on June 13, 2026, near the intersection of Leonidas Street and Sycamore Street. Investigators believe the individual shown in surveillance images may have information that could help advance the ongoing investigation.

Authorities have released two surveillance photos of the individual and are encouraging anyone who recognizes the person to come forward.
