Franklinton Woman Indicted For Allegedly Voting In U.S. Elections While Not A Citizen
A Franklinton woman has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges related to voter registration and voting in federal elections while allegedly not being a United States citizen.
Federal prosecutors allege that 51-year-old Denise Nataly Migliore, originally from Sydney, Australia, falsely claimed U.S. citizenship in order to register to vote and subsequently cast ballots in the 2022 and 2024 federal elections.
According to the indictment, Migliore was a lawful permanent resident but not a U.S. citizen at the time of the alleged offenses. She faces multiple federal charges related to voter registration, voting in federal elections, and allegedly making false claims of citizenship.
If convicted, she could face prison time, supervised release, fines, and other penalties under federal law.
As with all criminal cases, an indictment is an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
The case is being investigated by federal authorities and will proceed through the court system.
