Live Oak Street House Fire Sends One To Hospital, Cause Under Investigation

SLIDELL, La. — Multiple fire units responded to a residential structure fire Thursday night on Live Oak Street in Slidell, according to St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 1.

Firefighters arrived on scene and worked to bring the blaze under control. Officials said one person was transported to a local hospital as a precaution for possible smoke inhalation.

According to the department, the fire appears to have been accidental. Investigators are working to determine the exact origin and cause of the blaze.

No information regarding the extent of damage to the home has been released.
