SLIDELL, La. — Louisiana State Police are investigating multiple crashes, including one fatal crash, that caused major traffic congestion early Friday morning on Interstate 10 East near the Mississippi state line.
According to authorities, the crashes happened near Mile Marker 270 and have led to heavy backups stretching through the area. Officials confirmed at least one person has died in the incident.
