Heavily armed man arrested near Trump golf course in California

A 36 year old man was arrested near Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles after deputies say he was walking through the area with multiple weapons.

Authorities identified the suspect as Sean Steiner of Glendale. He was reportedly seen running through traffic on Palos Verdes Drive South, which runs alongside the golf course.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Steiner was carrying a semi automatic short barreled rifle painted purple and green with phrases linked to the Joker character, including “Why so serious?” and “Let’s put a smile on that face.” The rifle was loaded with a round in the chamber.

Deputies also recovered two loaded handguns, high capacity magazines, and a ballistic vest. Investigators say Steiner admitted to firing one of the weapons in the area to “get some anger out.”

He had reportedly been seen in the area before, hiking with body armor, a duffel bag, gloves, and a rifle.

Authorities say someone reported the situation, allowing deputies to respond quickly and take him into custody before anyone was hurt.

He is now facing multiple felony firearm charges.
