Smoke and Flames Break Out at Slidell Linen Facility Saturday Morning

A commercial laundry building in Slidell was the scene of a fire early Saturday, drawing a response from local firefighters and sending thick smoke into the air.

Crews with St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 1 were dispatched to Dirty Laundry Linen Service, located along Highway 190 East, after reports of a fire at the facility.

Footage shared from the scene shows heavy smoke pouring from the structure, with visible flames breaking through sections of the roof.

Despite the intensity of the fire, officials confirmed that no injuries have been reported.

Firefighters remained on site working to contain the situation while investigators begin looking into what may have caused the incident. At this time, the exact cause remains unknown, and officials say the investigation is ongoing.
