Former Vice President Kamala Harris drew attention over the weekend after suggesting she may not be done with presidential politics.

During a live conversation with Al Sharpton at the National Action Network convention in New York, Harris was directly asked about another run for president. Instead of shutting it down, she told the audience she is considering it, repeating that she is thinking about the possibility. The response sparked loud cheers, with some in the crowd encouraging her to enter the race again.

Harris said she has spent much of the past year traveling across the country and hearing concerns from everyday Americans, and that many people feel frustrated with how government operates.

The convention also drew several other Democrats widely seen as potential 2028 contenders, including Pete Buttigieg and JB Pritzker, adding to a sense that early positioning for the next presidential race is already underway.

Harris also criticized Donald Trump’s handling of Iran, arguing that recent tensions raise questions about his administration’s past claims on the matter.

For now, she says her focus is on helping Democrats in upcoming elections, with multiple events planned across the South.

Still, her comments made one thing clear. Another run is not off the table.
