Louisiana Sheriff Warns Parents About Threatening “Cat In The Hat” TikTok Reel

BATON ROUGE, La. A Louisiana sheriff is warning parents and students about a threatening TikTok reel reportedly circulating in multiple parishes.

Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon said the video features the “Cat in the Hat” and uses Dr. Seuss style wording to make threats of violence against schools and individuals.

The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office warned students that creating or distributing messages containing threats of violence can result in serious consequences from both school officials and law enforcement.

“Safety is our top priority, and any such threats will be taken seriously,” the sheriff’s office stated.

Authorities are asking parents to speak with their children about the seriousness of creating, reposting or sharing threatening content online.

Anyone who receives or sees the threatening TikTok reel is asked to contact the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office at 985 369 2912 and notify school administrators or a school resource officer.
