NEW ORLEANS, La. — Two New Orleans men were arrested Wednesday, October 21, following separate investigations involving alleged child sexual abuse material, according to Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Office.
Todd Summers Jr., 21, of St. Bernard Avenue in New Orleans, was arrested on 16 counts involving child sexual abuse material depicting children younger than 13.
Investigators with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning a Google account allegedly containing illegal material.
Authorities identified Summers as the account user and obtained an arrest warrant in Orleans Parish. He was taken into custody and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center without incident.
Antony Fernando Paguaga Viera, 26, of Dorian Street in New Orleans, was arrested the same day on two counts involving child sexual abuse material depicting children younger than 13.
In that investigation, authorities received a separate cybertip concerning a Discord account. Investigators identified Paguaga Viera as the alleged account user and obtained an arrest warrant.
He was also booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center without incident.
The arrests involved cooperation among the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Louisiana State Police, New Orleans Police Department, Kenner Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Orleans Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the Paguaga Viera investigation.
Authorities emphasized that the two cases are unrelated.
