Axios: U.S. Intelligence Says Cuba Has Acquired Over 300 Military Drones

Reports are circulating tonight after Axios published a story claiming U.S. intelligence believes Cuba has acquired more than 300 military drones and has discussed possible attack scenarios involving Guantanamo Bay, U.S. military vessels, and potentially Key West.

According to the report, U.S. officials say Cuba has allegedly been acquiring drones from Russia and Iran since 2023. Axios also reported that CIA Director John Ratcliffe recently traveled to Cuba to warn officials against hostile actions.

At this time, U.S. officials reportedly do not believe an attack is imminent. The report states intelligence sources claim discussions have taken place within Cuban military circles if tensions between the United States and Cuba continue escalating.

The claims have quickly sparked reactions online due to Cuba’s close proximity to Florida and the growing concerns surrounding drone warfare worldwide.
