Fire Reported Along I-59 South Near Pearl River

Drivers heading toward Slidell on Interstate 59 South are being urged to use caution after a fire was spotted burning along the side of the interstate near Pearl River Sunday afternoon.

Photos from the scene show smoke spreading across portions of the roadway, potentially reducing visibility for motorists traveling southbound.

Drivers approaching the area should slow down, remain alert and be prepared for changing traffic conditions as smoke continues to move across the interstate.
