Former Deputy Indicted On 12 Child Sex Crime Charges, Held Without Bond

FORMER DEPUTY INDICTED ON 12 CHILD SEX CRIME CHARGES, HELD WITHOUT BOND
A former Louisiana deputy is facing a dozen felony charges after a grand jury returned an indictment tied to allegations involving two children.
Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill announced Monday that Nicholas LoCicero has been indicted on 12 child sex crime charges, including five counts of first-degree rape of a child under the age of 13, one count of sexual battery of a child under 13, three counts of indecent behavior with juveniles, and three counts of molestation of a juvenile.
According to officials, LoCicero is currently being held without bond.
The case was presented to a Livingston Parish grand jury, which returned a true bill on all charges. Authorities say the indictment stems from an investigation involving allegations made by two child victims.
LoCicero was previously employed as a deputy and had been arrested in connection with the case before prosecutors sought the expanded indictment.
Attorney General Murrill said her office remains committed to prosecuting crimes against children and ensuring those accused face the judicial process.
The indictment marks the latest development in a case that has drawn significant attention due to the nature of the allegations and the defendant’s former position in law enforcement.
As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
