Jefferson Parish Fire Lt. Dennis Casey Jr. Dies In Personal Watercraft Accident Near Chef Pass Bridge

The Rabbit Hole extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fellow firefighters mourning the loss of Lt. Dennis Casey Jr. of the Jefferson Parish Fire Department.

According to officials, Lt. Casey tragically lost his life in a personal watercraft accident near the Chef Pass Bridge. He served his community for 24 years with East Bank Consolidated Fire Department, dedicating much of his life to protecting others and standing beside his brothers and sisters in the fire service.

Anyone who has spent time around firefighters knows the bond within a firehouse is more than a job. It becomes family, built on trust, sacrifice, long hours, and service to complete strangers. By all accounts, Lt. Casey embodied those values throughout his distinguished career.
