Shreveport Man Facing Thousands of Child-Pornography Charges
SHREVEPORT, La. — A 61-year-old Shreveport man is facing more than 4,000 additional charges involving child sexual abuse material in what authorities say could become one of the largest cases of its kind ever investigated in Louisiana.
Jeffrey Lambing was already facing charges stemming from a child exploitation investigation when investigators with the Shreveport Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, working with the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, filed 4,427 additional counts against him on August 3.
The massive number of new charges came after investigators conducted what authorities described as an extensive examination of multiple electronic devices.
Lambing’s case first became public in July when Shreveport police announced his arrest following a child exploitation investigation. At that time, authorities said Lambing was facing five counts of pornography involving juveniles, one count of unlawful use of social media by a sex offender and one count of possession of a deepfake pornographic image of a juvenile. The deepfake charge involves sexually explicit material allegedly created or manipulated using artificial intelligence or other digital technology to depict a juvenile.
The investigation did not end with the initial arrest. Authorities continued examining electronic devices connected to the case, eventually resulting in thousands of additional allegations.
On August 3, investigators filed the additional 4,427 counts related to child sexual abuse material, commonly referred to as CSAM. Authorities have said that, if the charges hold, the sheer size of the case could make it one of the largest CSAM investigations ever conducted in Louisiana.
The investigation involved cooperation between Shreveport Police and the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, reflecting the scale of the digital evidence authorities say was uncovered. The case also highlights the increasingly significant role electronic devices and digital forensic examinations play in child exploitation investigations. A case that initially involved a handful of criminal charges expanded dramatically as investigators continued analyzing the devices.
Lambing now faces thousands of allegations as the case moves through the Louisiana criminal justice system. The charges are allegations, and Lambing is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
