Slidell Woman Booked Again, Ongoing Sentence Explains Repeat Jail Entries
A Slidell woman was booked into jail again over the weekend, drawing attention from those who have seen her name appear multiple times in local records.
According to records from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, 40-year-old Leann Simon was booked on May 2, 2026, on a charge of second-degree cruelty to juveniles.
For many in the community, this name may sound familiar.
Simon was previously involved in a 2020 case involving the same charge. According to information shared with us, part of her sentence requires her to serve time on weekends, reporting to jail to fulfill that sentence.
That ongoing arrangement explains why her name continues to appear in booking records at different times.
At this time, no new details beyond the booking have been released.
