Truck Snaps Power Pole at Busy Slidell Intersection, Line Falls Onto Garbage Truck

A crash in Slidell caused a brief disruption after an 18-wheeler struck overhead lines near the intersection of Mary Street and Fremaux Avenue.

The hit brought down a utility pole, with the line landing directly on top of a garbage truck in the area. Emergency crews responded quickly, securing the scene while utility workers began handling the damaged equipment.

Officials say no one was hurt, and outages appear to be minimal, with only a nearby residence affected.
