Slidell Man Behind Years Of Public Corruption Accusations Arrested Again

SLIDELL, La. — A Slidell man known for publicly accusing government officials and others of fraud and corruption has been arrested again for allegedly violating a protective order.

According to St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office booking information, 49-year-old Irwin Charles Savoye III was booked August 20 by the Slidell Police Department on a charge listed as Violation of Protective Orders (Second Offense).

The latest arrest follows multiple previous protective-order cases involving Savoye.

In October 2024, Savoye entered no-contest pleas to two counts of violating protective orders stemming from incidents in May of that year. He was sentenced to six months in the St. Tammany Parish Jail on each count, to run concurrently. The court also ordered the protective orders to remain in effect.

Savoye was later charged with another violation stemming from November 20, 2024.

In February 2025, he pleaded guilty to Violation of a Protective Order With No Battery/Crime of Violence, Second or Subsequent Offense and received another six-month jail sentence. Court records show he was also advised that subsequent convictions could result in greater penalties.

Savoye has separately spent years publicly alleging that his family’s property was taken through a fraudulent foreclosure and sheriff’s sale and has accused government officials, financial institutions and others of fraud, misconduct and corruption.

Those claims remain Savoye’s allegations and are separate from his documented protective-order cases.

The August 20 arrest is a new charge, and Savoye is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
