A 39 year old Picayune, Mississippi man has been arrested following an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation conducted by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.

According to Sheriff Jason Ard, detectives with the agency’s ICAC Task Force launched a proactive investigation that led to the arrest of Daniel Becker. Investigators allege Becker believed he was communicating online with a 15 year old girl before being located by detectives in Walker.

Becker was taken into custody and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center.

He is currently facing the following charges:

* One count of indecent behavior with juveniles

* One count of computer aided solicitation of a minor

* One count of solicitation of child sexual abuse material

The investigation remains active, and authorities have not released additional details.

Sheriff Ard also reminded parents, schools, and community organizations that the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office offers free internet safety presentations through its Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Those interested can contact the agency at (225) 435-1365 to request a presentation.

As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and Daniel Becker is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
