Serious Two-Vehicle Crash Reported Near Slidell
A serious two-vehicle crash occurred Tuesday at the intersection of Indian Village Road and U.S. Highway 190 East near Shortcut Highway.
According to the St. Tammany Fire Protection District, emergency crews responded to the scene and reported two injuries. One patient was listed in serious condition, while the second sustained minor injuries. Both individuals were transported for medical treatment.
Photos from the scene show significant damage to a passenger vehicle and an overturned Jeep-style vehicle that came to rest on its side in a roadside ditch. Firefighters, paramedics, Louisiana State Police troopers, and other emergency personnel worked the scene.
Fire officials later announced that crews had cleared the crash site, though Louisiana State Police remained on scene as the investigation continued.
Motorists traveling through the area were urged to use caution and remain alert while emergency operations were underway.
The cause of the crash has not been released.
