Covington Man Arrested After Allegedly Exposing Himself Inside Coffee Shop

A 62 year old Covington area man was arrested Monday, March 30, after deputies say he exposed himself to a female employee inside a local coffee shop. According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, Mark T. Long is accused of walking into the business on March 20 with his pants unzipped, approaching the counter, and then exposing himself while waiting for his order.

Investigators said the incident may not have been isolated. Detectives reportedly reviewed surveillance video and learned Long had been at the same business the day before, where he was allegedly seen acting in a similar manner. Authorities later secured an arrest warrant, and Long turned himself in.

Long was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on one count of obscenity. The sheriff’s office says the investigation remains ongoing. As with all criminal cases, the charge is an allegation, and the accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
