HOUMA, La. — At least four people are dead and a juvenile is critically injured as authorities investigate an apparent series of stabbing incidents at nearby homes in Houma.
The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the 200 block of Ashland Drive, where they found a juvenile suffering from apparent stab wounds.
The juvenile was transported by Acadian Ambulance Service Air Med to an out of area hospital and was reported to be in critical condition.
As deputies continued investigating, authorities said they discovered multiple deceased victims inside nearby homes.
At least four victims have been pronounced dead.
The Sheriff’s Office described the investigation as being in its preliminary stages as deputies continued gathering evidence and developing information.
The circumstances surrounding the attacks, including what led to the violence and whether authorities have identified a suspect, were not detailed in the preliminary information released.
