Eight Men Arrested In Louisiana Child Predator Sting Operation

LOUISIANA — Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill announced that eight men have been arrested following a multi-agency undercover operation targeting individuals accused of attempting to exploit children online.

The operation, conducted June 17-18, involved investigators posing as minors online to identify and apprehend individuals allegedly seeking sexual contact with children. The arrests were the result of a coordinated effort involving state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies across Louisiana.

According to authorities, the following individuals were arrested:

• Timothy Joseph Dupuis, 44, of Lafayette

* Charged with Indecent Behavior with Juveniles

* Charged with Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor

• Christopher Ryan Deville, 37, of Lafayette

* Charged with Indecent Behavior with Juveniles

* Charged with Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor

• Dustin Paul Savoie, 34, of Youngsville

* Charged with Indecent Behavior with Juveniles

* Charged with Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor

• Joshua Michael Richard, 38, of Denham Springs

* Charged with Indecent Behavior with Juveniles

* Charged with Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor

• Cody James Aymond, 31, of Larose

* Charged with Indecent Behavior with Juveniles

* Charged with Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor

• John Christopher Wade, 42, of West Monroe

* Charged with Indecent Behavior with Juveniles

* Charged with Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor

• Michael Joseph Smith, 33, of Hammond

* Charged with Indecent Behavior with Juveniles

* Charged with Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor

• Jonathan David Smith, 41, of Hammond

* Charged with Two Counts of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles

* Charged with Two Counts of Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor

Attorney General Murrill praised the investigators involved and issued a warning to anyone attempting to target children online.

The operation involved the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, Louisiana State Police, multiple sheriff’s offices, and several local police agencies. Additional agencies assisted with locating and arresting suspects throughout the state.

Officials emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing and that additional arrests could occur as evidence is reviewed.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
