Louisiana Not Done With Winter Yet? Another Cold Front Could Bring 40s Back
Just when many thought Louisiana had fully entered spring, another chilly surprise may be on the way.
Forecasters are watching the potential for a stronger cold front to move into the state around May 1, which could bring much cooler temperatures back across parts of Louisiana.
If current patterns hold, some overnight lows could dip into the 40s, a rare sight this late into the season and enough to have many pulling jackets back out.
The cooler air would be a sharp contrast to the warmer days many expected during festival season, when Louisiana usually starts shifting toward summer heat and humidity.
While the forecast is still several days out and could change, weather watchers say it is something to keep an eye on.
For now, Louisiana residents may want to hold off on packing away blankets just yet. Gumbo weather might not be finished after all.
