20-Year-Old St. Tammany Man Held Without Bond on Multiple Charges Involving Juveniles
A 20-year-old man is being held without bond in St. Tammany Parish after being arrested on multiple charges involving juveniles, along with a charge of battery of a dating partner with strangulation.
Brandon Roussell was arrested on August 13 and faces six charge categories, including multiple counts involving juveniles.
Roussell is charged with:
• Pornography involving juveniles, 2 counts
• Carnal knowledge of a juvenile
• Computer-aided solicitation of a minor
• Indecent behavior with a juvenile
• Battery of a dating partner with strangulation
• Contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, 2 counts
The two contributing to the delinquency of juveniles counts include one allegation involving performing sexual conduct and another involving a crime or controlled dangerous substance.
Roussell appeared via Zoom for a 72-hour hearing on August 14 before Judge James G. Burke III.
The judge ordered Roussell held without bond pending a contradictory hearing. The Office of Indigent Defender was also appointed to represent him.
Roussell remains in custody with no release date currently listed.
The charges are allegations, and Roussell has not been convicted of the offenses.
