St. Tammany Man Convicted of Sexually Abusing Four-Year-Old Boy
A St. Tammany Parish man is awaiting sentencing after a jury convicted him of sexually abusing a four-year-old boy.
Jamonte Keenan Crosby, 23, was found guilty as charged of sexual battery involving a victim under 13 and indecent behavior involving a victim under 13.
Crosby, originally from San Pablo, California, was living in Folsom, Louisiana, when the abuse occurred.
The investigation began after the child told his mother that Crosby had physically abused him and exposed himself to him. Prosecutors said Crosby took advantage of a private setting to abuse the child and show him graphic content on his phone.
The child reportedly provided investigators with clear and consistent details about what happened.
“This defendant preyed on a four-year-old child’s innocence and trust,” District Attorney Collin Sims said. “Thanks to the meticulous work of law enforcement, the bravery of this young victim, and the relentless prosecution by our team, justice has been served.”
Judge Tara Farris Zeller is scheduled to sentence Crosby on September 8, 2026.
