High Water Rescues Underway as Tchefuncte River Continues Rising in Folsom

Emergency crews are conducting high water rescues in parts of Folsom as the rapidly rising Tchefuncte River continues to flood homes, roads, and vehicles near Park Lane and Albert Thompson Road.

Photos released by the Folsom Fire Department show floodwaters surrounding homes and submerging multiple vehicles while crews use a high water rescue vehicle to reach residents in affected areas.

The river is expected to continue rising through the coming hours, with major flooding forecast. Residents living along the river and in low-lying areas should closely monitor conditions and be prepared to evacuate if necessary.
