Slidell Man Killed in Marion County Crash

A Slidell man was killed Friday night in a two-vehicle crash in Marion County, Mississippi.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 10:00 p.m. on July 3 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 98 and Ward Road.

Investigators said a 2009 Cadillac CTS, driven by 46-year-old Leonard J. Landry of Slidell, was traveling south on Ward Road when it collided with a 2014 Ford F-150 traveling west on U.S. Highway 98.

Landry was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Cadillac suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ford F-150 was not injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
