Tiny Kitten Rescued From Storm Drain by Slidell Firefighters

Share your love

A routine day quickly turned into a heartwarming rescue after firefighters with St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 1 saved a tiny kitten trapped inside a storm drain.

The six-week-old kitten became stuck in the drain, prompting a call for help. Captain Torrey Dallas, Operator Andy Garcia, and Firefighter Evan Juneau responded, located the frightened kitten, and safely brought it back to the surface.

Fortunately, the kitten was unharmed and was reunited with the caller, who is caring for a litter of kittens.

It’s a reminder that first responders don’t just answer calls involving people. Whether it’s a family in need or a helpless animal, they’re always ready to step in when help is needed.

Great job to the L13 crew for another rescue with a happy ending.
