Commercial Fire Reported at Sam’s Southern Eatery in Slidell

A commercial structure fire prompted a response from firefighters Wednesday morning at Sam’s Southern Eatery on Pontchartrain Drive in Slidell.

According to the St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 1, crews arrived on scene and were able to quickly bring the fire under control. The fire has since been extinguished.

Officials said no injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The department thanked its firefighters for their work during the incident as investigators begin working to determine what sparked the blaze.

At this time, it is unclear how much damage the business sustained or when it will be able to reopen.
