SLIDELL, La. — A large emergency response was seen Thursday afternoon at the Wingate hotel in Slidell after a dryer caught fire inside the building.

Multiple fire trucks and emergency personnel responded to the hotel, drawing attention from motorists and others in the area.

The fire was extinguished, and no flames or smoke were visible outside the hotel when The Rabbit Hole News arrived at the scene.

The large response was precautionary due to the fire occurring inside a hotel, where incidents can potentially affect numerous guests and employees.
